In October a friend of mine invited me to join her on a short trip up to her family cottage near Lake Erie. It was a wonderful reset and refresh for me to get back into heavy-duty editing and rewriting after a significant amount of time spent on other projects. It has been nearly a year since I broke my ankle and had to spend most of my energy just getting back up and around. I figured out a couple of sticky plot points that had been giving me trouble. What a good time!
