It is cold in this part of the world. We don’t have a lot of snow yet in Pittsburgh, but temperatures have been below freezing since November left and December began. We are a household with many beloved pets, and sadly the cat that has been with our family the longest died (of old age and cancer) a couple of days ago. It is hard to say goodbye to furry friends, and we are all saddened. There is so much going on it is hard to get enough sleep or have a normal meal at the moment. Not a time conducive to much creativity. During seasons like this I have to keep my focus on things that are important in the life of my family and myself, and realize that there will be other days to work on the novel.
